One Hundred and Fifty Years Serving Africa

We are well into 2018 now and the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers), as well as the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa/MSOLA (White Sisters), are preparing world wide to celebrate 150 years of service to, and in, Africa. The Missionaries of Africa date their beginnings to 1868 and the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa to 1869.

I shall be putting out regular comments on important events from these 150 years throughout this year.

In UK, the Missionaries of Africa/MSOLA are hoping to have 3 key celebrations. One should be in Rutherglen (our remaining house in Scotland), one in London (home of the Delegate Superior and his team) and one in Liverpool (where we are setting up a new team in a parish near to the cathedral). We would like any past missionaries, past missionary students, well-wishers and benefactors who would like or are able to come along to the Masses in one of these 3 places to celebrate with us. However, the preparations are still in their infancy. More information will be made available as the details become clear.
